Boys will be boys ... hanging out with Big Mac (grandpa Ron McElyea) and Uncle Cameon McElyea at Sunday lunch.

Wrapping Party!

Wrapping paper, Brick Oven pizza, and some music on a Friday night ... what excitement! Friends Tom & Betsey Craig really bailed us out by helping us wrap Christmas packages as we were kinda busy the first half of the month! We are so thanhful for all the friends the Lord has blessed us with ... love y'all.

YO Betsey!!!!

Amber, Sutton, and friend Betsey Craig hanging out at our house just before Christmas 2006.

Leaving The Hospital

Headed home to get settled in and watch the Cowboys game vs. the Saints.

First Car Seat Ride

Time to go home ... this was the first ride in the car seat.

My first Cowboys game

Going home from the hospital on the Sunday the Cowboys played the Saints in prime time ... unfortunately the Cowboys choked and the Saints won big ... Sutton wouldn't have known anyway as he slept through the game while daddy stayed up and was disappointed. It is hard to tell from the picture but Sutton was wearing home a Dallas Cowboys outfit with matching socks and hat ... dad picked this one out himself.

Just About Nap Time

Sutton found a soft shoulder to take a nap on after his lunch a few days after he was born.

Dinner Time!

Grandma knows how to feed Sutton right. Grandma Margie Peck feeding the hungry kid only a few days out of the hospital ... he was eating 3-4 ounces right out of the hospital!

My first bath at home...

Sutton was a pretty cool cat for his first bath at home ... Johnson & Johnson baby special ... no tears ... although he did decide to imitate a fountain about halfway through the bath!

Great Grandma Pearline

Sutton sleeping in Great Grandma Pearline McElyea's arms.

Visitors At Home

Hanging out with friend Tom Craig for a little while my first day home from the hospital.

Swinging At Home!

Even though just a week old, Sutton loves his new swing that was a baby shower gift from Carl & Lynn ... thanks!

Extra Sugars

From left to right: friends Kim Dennis and Wendy Jones coulden't resist coming over to hug on Sutton's neck the day we got home from the hospital. We are truly blessed to have such great church family ... love y'all!

The Boys Hanging Out

PGA Golfer -or- NFL linebacker in training ... I'm sooooo happy this day has come and that God saw fit to carry Amber & Sutton safely through the delivery and surgical process.

Bright Eyed From The Get-Go

Sutton came out wide-eyed and looking at everything!

Chick's Dig Me!

Sleeping in the hospital the day after my arrival.

Proud Grandpa Peck

Proud Grandma Peck

The new candidate for Gata Beau

Amber and friend Jennifer Ellison with their new favorite little man.

Momma & Sutton

This was taken the day after Sutton was born in the recovery room. Amber was doing great after 30+ hours of labor and a c-section! She was up & walking within 24hrs!

Time to rest

This was taken about 3 hours after he was born.

Nurse Nancy

This is nurse Nancy Hildebrandt at Hendrick who along with the other nurses during out stay were excellent in helping us through the birth of our first child. I'm sure we must have asked the nurses thousands of questions before we left ... they were great to us.

Nurse Donna

This is nurse Donna Hanson who along with her husband John attends church with us. She has the bragging rights of being the first person to hug Sutton and later on give him his first bath. She was also in the surgery room with us during the c-section and was waiting for the hand-off from Dr's Tadvick and Daniels to check Sutton out. We were so thankful she decided to come in on her day-off to be there for our family during the delivery. We are so blessed... thank you Donna!

My First Picture

Here is Sutton in he nursery about 2 hours after he came into the world. He was calm, cool, and collected for all the big happenings of the day.

New Adiion To The Family

Our "existing kids" have no idea what will be coming home with us in a few weeks.

Sutton's Room is ready

With a lot of hard work by all, Sutton's room was finished just in time with special help from Big Mac & Mimi. Mimi hand-made all of the baby bedding and window treatment you see and Big Mac drove home a stuffed delivery truck from Dallas one Saturday with all the furniture. Also helping us complete the room was: Uncle Cameron & Aunt Tonya, Tom & Betsey Craig, Jennifer Ellison. As you can see, it turned out quite colorful as we chose the theme "A Circus Safari" ... this picture was taken about 2 weeks before Sutton was born.

Waiting For The Big Day

This was taken at the Jacob's Dream sculpture on the Campus of Abilene Christian University about 3 weeks prior to Sutton's birthdate.
